About The Role
FTI Consulting’s Corporate Finance & Restructuring practice focuses on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders.
FTI Consulting's Lender Advisory Services Group (“LS”) is a specialized practice area which offers transaction advisory services to blue chip, multi-national banks, large commercial finance companies, specialty lending businesses and borrowers. Our analysis is a staple in the syndicated collateralized finance and securitization markets. We combine technical expertise in valuation and credit issues with years of experience in corporate restructuring and audits to help clients make informed decisions. Our diligence teams have completed mandates at companies located throughout North America and Europe involving numerous asset classes in a large variety of industries including automotive, business services, technology, healthcare, manufacturing, and energy.
Specific product offerings may include due diligence, business reviews and quality of earnings assessments, financial projection and business plan reviews, crisis credit and collateral analysis, ABL field audits and securitized transactions, valuation, portfolio analysis and monitoring.
What You'll Do
Our team is looking for a strong candidate with either an accounting or financial background with strong financial modeling skills, excellent attention to detail and experience working with securitizations or similar structured products. The Consultant/Senior Consultant would focus on the exotic ABS practice within Lender Services. The Consultant/Senior Consultant would be responsible for performing the day-to-day activities of a project in leading project workstreams with limited oversight, while collaborating with other team members and client personnel to effectively accomplish designated tasks. Other responsibilities include:
- Apply business, accounting, finance and analytical acumen to various client situations and practice disciplines including, but not limited to conducting due diligence on issuers prior to a capital markets transaction, analyze financial statements and projections, assess business plans, build large dynamic financial models and create work product that is flexible, understandable and usable by others
- Perform high quality client work and helping further develop client relationships; including taking a proactive approach and anticipate client needs
- Develop and scale knowledge management; including tools, methodologies, reports, models, work plans, checklists and processes
- Maintain and review detailed working paper records reflecting assumptions, methodologies and sources of information employed during the performance of all analytical tasks
- Work to ensure a quality product, as well as delivery of all work within established time frames
- Assist with preparation and review of draft written analyses, presentations, quantitative exhibits and other reports for third parties, findings and/or results of activities
- Participate on conference calls with clients to review due diligence results
- Identify research and organize information to assess appropriateness/sufficiency of such to facilitate effective data access and analysis
- Assist with practice development and marketing, including developing materials, surveys, events and case studies
- Take a management role to help coach, train, and mentor junior professionals

Basic Qualifications
What You Will Need To Succeed
- 1+ years of relevant post-graduate professional experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or finance
- Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CFA preferred
- Familiarity with Internet-based financial research resources for corporate information, SEC filings, competitive data, etc.
- General knowledgebase of corporate finance and accounting principles and terminology
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), mathematical and organizational skills

Compensation
Minimum Pay: $56,000
Maximum Pay: $113,500
Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual’s location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
